FAQs
We are fully confident in the reliability of our products, which is why we offer one of the best warranties on the market: 30 years of total peace of mind.
Our warranty consists of two key components:
1. Product Warranty (30 Years)
We guarantee that for 30 years, your solar modules will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This covers the structural integrity of the frame, glass, and internal components. Driven by Swiss quality control standards and premium materials, Swiss Solar modules are highly resistant to extreme weather conditions, corrosion, and mechanical loads.
2. Performance Warranty (30 Years)
We guarantee stable energy generation throughout the entire lifespan of the modules. Our panels are engineered for minimal degradation:
- First Year: Retains at least 97-98% of the initial power output.
- Over 30 Years: Annual power degradation does not exceed 0.4%.
- After 30 Years: Your module will continue to operate effectively, delivering at least 87-89% of its rated capacity (depending on the series).
What does this mean for the customer?
- Maximum Investment Protection: A solar plant typically pays for itself within 4–6 years, letting you enjoy pure profit for decades under the full protection of the manufacturer.
- Swiss Reliability: Every module undergoes rigorous multi-stage testing, significantly minimizing the risk of warranty claims.
- Higher Asset Value: Having such an extensive warranty increases the market value of your property or household.

The PHANTOM series by Swiss Solar is more than just an upgrade; it is a transition to an entirely new technological tier. We offer a unique combination of proprietary innovations, allowing us to provide a breakthrough 30-year product and 30-year performance warranty.
Here is the technical justification for why PHANTOM outperforms any standard solution on the market:
1. Next-Generation Cells: TOPCon Advance+
While standard TOPCon modules face limitations regarding recombination and degradation, our TOPCon Advance technology delivers:
- Dual-Sided Selective Passivation (DSSP): Utilizing Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD+) increases the bifaciality coefficient to 90-92%. This yields 10-12% more energy from the rear side compared to industry standards.
- Zero-LID & LeTID Architecture: Integrated nano-getters neutralize impurities at the molecular level. The module retains 100% of its power in the first year, with an annual degradation of no more than 0.35%.
- Metallization 2.0 (Super-Fine Busbar): S-FBB technology with silver-copper alloy reduces cell shading by 18%, which is critical for efficient operation during mornings, evenings, and cloudy days.
2. Specialized Double Glass: DURAGLASS X™
We have replaced standard tempered glass with a structural hybrid:
- Nano-Matrix Tempering (NMT): Pulse laser annealing creates a grid of isolated high-pressure cells. Unlike standard glass that shatters into a "spider web" upon impact, DURAGLASS X localizes damage, protecting the cells even against hail up to 45 mm in diameter.
- Hyper-Transmission (HT-96): Instead of spray-on AR coatings that degrade over time, we use nano-structuring of the glass surface itself. Light transmission of 96.2% is maintained throughout the entire 30-year lifespan.
- Thermal Shedding: Borosilicate additives reduce the Nominal Operating Cell Temperature (NOCT) by 2.8°C, resulting in a power yield increase of +1.4%.
3. Reinforced Frame: AluForce™
We addressed the common issues of frame deformation and corrosion found in standard modules:
- Nano-Titanium Alloyed (NTA): Aerospace-grade aluminum reinforced with titanium is 22% lighter and 35% stronger than standard alloys. The frame withstands snow loads of up to 6200 Pa.
- Plasma-Ceramic Enrichment (PCE): A high-density protective layer up to 100 μm thick provides ceramic-like hardness and is certified for C5-M (High Marine) corrosion resistance. It is immune to salt, ammonia, and acid mist.
- X-Bridge Profile Geometry: Internal diagonal reinforcement ribs dampen wind-induced vibrations ("flutter"), preventing micro-cracks in the silicon cells and acting as a passive radiator for heat dissipation.
This is an essential question, as the Tier 1 status from Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) is a key indicator of a manufacturer's bankability for large-scale financial projects.
Here is the official position of Swiss Solar:
1. Manufacturing at Tier 1 Facilities
The Swiss Solar brand focuses on technology development and rigorous quality control in Switzerland. For the manufacturing process, we utilize the automated lines of top-tier factories listed as Tier 1. This ensures that every Swiss Solar module is produced using the same high-tech equipment and following the same rigorous standards as the world’s largest solar corporations.
2. Official Verification
We provide our clients and financial partners with an official document (Confirmation). This document verifies that the specific batch of panels was manufactured at a facility currently included in the official Tier 1 list. This verification enables our clients to pass technical audits and secure financing for large commercial projects.
3. Swiss Quality Control (Swiss Engineering)
It is important to understand that while Tier 1 factories provide the manufacturing capacity, all technical specifications — such as the TOPCon Advance architecture, DuraGlass X™ glass, and AluForce™ frames — are designed by Swiss Solar engineers. Our own quality control specialists are present on the production lines during the manufacturing of every batch.
Every Swiss Solar module undergoes an 8-stage quality control system — from raw material inspection to final certification testing. This zero-tolerance process is the foundation of our confidence in offering a 30-year warranty.
- Stage 1. Incoming Material Inspection — All components (cells, DuraGlass X™, AluForce™ frames, cables) are chemically and geometrically verified before entering the production line.
- Stage 2. EL Testing at Cell Level — Every individual cell is scanned using electroluminescence imaging to detect micro-cracks and semiconductor defects invisible to the naked eye.
- Stage 3. Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) — During laminate assembly, a robotic optical system monitors cell positioning with a tolerance of < 0.1 mm. Any deviation automatically halts the line.
- Stage 4. Flash Test at STC — Every assembled module is measured in a Class A+ AAA solar simulator at standard conditions. Actual Pmax, Isc, Voc, and efficiency values are recorded and verified. Non-conforming modules are rejected.
- Stage 5. EL Testing at Module Level — A second electroluminescence scan after lamination and framing detects any micro-damage introduced during the manufacturing process.
- Stage 6. Hi-Pot & Grounding Safety Test — Each module undergoes high-voltage insulation testing at 3000–4200V DC and frame grounding verification, ensuring compliance with IEC 61730 safety standards.
- Stage 7. IR Thermography — Infrared scanning under load detects any hotspot effect. Any cell heating above the threshold causes product rejection and ensures uniform laminate performance.
- Stage 8. Final QC & Compliance Check — Final visual and documentary inspection before packaging. All certifications (IEC 61215, IEC 61730, TUV NORD CE) are verified, and each module receives a unique serial number for 30-year warranty traceability.
For developers and investors in commercial solar power plants, product certification is a fundamental requirement for securing project financing and insurance coverage. Swiss Solar modules fully meet these requirements.
1. TUV SUD Certification
Our modules are certified by TUV SUD — one of the world's most authoritative independent technical certification bodies. The TUV SUD certificate confirms that the product has undergone rigorous independent testing in accordance with international standards and meets the highest requirements for safety, quality, and reliability. For banks and insurance companies, this is one of the key markers of a bankable product.
2. CE Mark
The CE marking confirms full compliance with the requirements of European Union Directives, including standards for electromagnetic compatibility, low-voltage equipment, and environmental protection. It is a mandatory requirement for the sale and installation of equipment in any EU country.
3. What "Bankable" means for your project
The combination of TUV SUD and CE certification means that Swiss Solar modules:
- Are accepted by leading financial institutions for project financing of solar power plants.
- Are recognized by insurance companies for underwriting solar asset policies.
- Satisfy technical due diligence requirements conducted by Independent Engineers (IEs) during project assessments.
- Meet tender requirements from government and corporate buyers where internationally recognized certifications are mandatory.
4. Documentation Package
We provide our partners with a complete documentation package: original TUV SUD certificates, CE Declaration of Conformity, and, upon request, an Confirmation verifying production at a Tier 1 certified facility. This covers all standard requirements from banks and financial advisors.
